powder drop recomendation plz

dont really have a budget...but im a cheap skate. hence the $20 lyman beam scale and $50 rockchucker press. lol

ebay is a little rediculous sometimes. they are asking $60 or $80 for used rcbs and midway has them for $87 new, but sometimes a deal can be had if i look lomg enough

I recall one of your early posts from a few weeks ago so nice to see ya again.
Nothing wrong with being a "cheap skate" I prefer frugal. Most of the tools on my bench are second hand and work just fine. I am not brand loyal or brand specific but I do research what others are working with so I am familiar with the pitfalls.

I just looked on Lee's website because back about a month ago they had Auto Drum measures I believe were refabs for like $30.00 with full warranties. I have one of the original measures and it works just fine for the 223 I load. With a little practice it's not hard to make weight adjustments. I do it in .3gr increments all the time. With ball type powders and small stick like powders like Varget stay very precise, within.1gr...

I use mine for loading target ammo so I drop a charge, check weigh, trickle then seat a bullet on a turret press.

It's not real big, and it is a bit finicky to adjust, but mine meters pretty accurate once the charge is set.

I don’t typically use powder drops for rifle charging, but were I to buy ONE device for the task, it would be a Harrell’s, and failing that, a Uniflow.
