The funnel is a light friction fit into the top of the die to use with Lee scoops or any separately weighed charges. I've only used the Lee funnels so don't know if others will fit. They work perfectly for me with no spilling.
I just bought a LCT and thought I would just charge my cases separately off the press. I only reload for 9mm and 45acp so I had bought a rcbs little dandy to charge the cases in the loading block.I had an epiphany when I set up the new turret press to mount the little dandy in the plate. It threaded right in Since I don't worry about PRECISE power charge in these calibers for my casual shooting,it works. In hindsight,I would not have bought the dandy as the rotors for different power charges get expensive, better to have bought a bench mounted adjustable powder dispenser.(loading w/single stage press for yrs.) I'm not recommending this method, just throwing the idea out there if you happen to have a rcbs little dandy powder dispenser.
The Lee powder through die comes with a screw in fitting for use with a powder funnel. I have used a Lee, RCBS and Lyman funnel with it and all worked the same. I use the one I grab lol.
You are in the "minority" There are many threads on the Lee Auto Drum.
It is a damn accurate for what it is. I and others tested many powders in it and I myself find it is right on and consistent. Heck it is as accurate as my RCBS Uniflow,
Perhaps search those threads and find out if you have it set up correctly
That said the LEE funnel fits their dies like it was made for it.
