I hate paying the hazmat fee especially for small quantities to ship.

Not to picky about primer, but would like Bullseye and Trail Boss powders.

Any retailers that you know of that stock it in preferably the south Orange County area? Will travel if needed, although the cost of gas is becoming an issue. (every 9 miles = $5 :fire: )

For anyone that finds this in search...Fowlers Gun Room has a great selection of powders

Hey Mate,

Fowlers is cool as is it's sister company, the Stockade in Westminster, Ca. Ask for John at Fowlers and Bob @ the Stockade. They are both fine human beings and know their craft.

Cheers...

I actually bought a pound of Bullseye and a nine ounce container of Trail Boss at Fowler's about two weeks ago. $18.95 and $13.95 respectively. Nice folks, too.

I avoid the Stockade these days. Essentially the same store as Fowler's -- pretty much the same selection and prices -- but the employees at Stockade are arrogant obnoxious A-holes. IMO, of course. :)

That's bad to hear that. If you are ever in the area and decide to give The Stockade a try, make sure to ask for Bob. He just had Knee surgery and was out for a while but the man is very cool and he knows his stuff.
You are right about some of the others, Mate. I think I told one of the guys where he could go a couple of years back but nobody messes with me because I am not shy in expressing my discontent. I have a t-shirt that says it all:

'WARNING: I will kick your ass if I have to'

LOL...

Cheers, Mates

all i know is san gabriel valley

lock stock n barrel temple city
bain and davis gun shop san gabriel
of course turners
then at the shooting range. Angeles ranges.

Other than that best thing to do is check with Calguns. ammo and reloading part. They have a group buy on powder once in a while. They do it by area. a week ago they did one for san fernando valley. i cant wait to get on one for san gabriel valley myself.

Hey Scrat,

I have heard of lock stock, and haven't heard of Bain & Davis. I need to go check them out. Of course, I also go to the reload store at Angeles Shooting range. Ralph is cool to shoot the s**t with. He has done a few favors for me and I always see him giving good advice to anyone that asks. so I need to do something nice for him someday.

Cheers...

Phillip's Wholesale in West Covina.

Nicest, most helpful guy you could ever meet, and his prices are the best. Most of his stuff is for shotshell reloading, although he can order anything you want at a great price.

Bacardi151...If you live close to Ventura I would recommend the gun and knife show that occurs at the fair grounds about once every other month. Prices (at least when I was still living there) were good and if you were there early enough parking was free (before 8:00 AM) and the quantity and variety was also good.
