Powder through die for 300 aac

This may be a known trick, but I thought it up and thought I'd share: I use lead bullets and didn't have room on the turret press for a flare die and a rifle charging die, and Lee doesn't make a powder through die, so I decided to build one. I took a spare 38spl Lee powder through die and put in the expander plug to a 30 carbine and voilà, I have a powder through die for 300 blackout. Works well.

Neat trick. I love the powder through die for lead loads and short cases that don't fit my funnel well. I will have to remember that one when I get something in .300 blackout

Can this trick work with a Hornady PTX die? They don't seem to offer an insert for 308 but maybe with some lathe work a 357 insert could be made to work?

I did something similar using a 357mag/max powder through die body and a 30 mauser expander. Works well.
