Hey guys I just placed a order at powder valley last night for some powder. I got a auto e-mail after the order but my card has not been charged yet. I haven't orderd from them in over a year and was wondering if anyone who has placed a order from them recently did they charge your card when you placed your order or when they filled it thanks.

Ok I feel a little better I will be giddy when they charge my card so at least my order should be filled. Remember the good ol days when you could take as long as you wanted when placing a order and going through all the powder and primers makeing sure you orderd everything you needed and didn't have to worry about taking too much time to press the place order so you didn't miss out?

Give it a day or two. They'll charge your card when they process the order. :)

I scored some primers from them about a week ago. They charged my card when the order was ready for shipping.

In my experience powder valley does not charge until your order is ready to ship, unlike so many other companies that charge your card when you place the order. This is a good thing.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. I have bought a lot off of them over the years and they always do the right thing. There is no worry's here, if it was in stock when you ordered it, you will get it as advertised.

I live fairly close to Powder Valley and was wondering if they allow a buyer to pick up their order?

thanks guys, I know Powder Valley is a stand up company I was just thinking maybe something was wrong on my end I have been waiting for a long time to score this particular powder and after your posts im sure its all going to work out.

Sure you can pick up just call ahead at least 3 days, I live 10 miles away myself.

For your convenience please place your order online at least 1 week in advance of requested pick up date and we will have it available for pick up.

I was last there about 3 years ago. E-mailed the order and paid on pickup. When you e-mail they can tell you when the order will be ready. They appreciate cash, it saves the credit card rate. And look out for the watchdog in the office, petting is mandatory. :D

The few times I've ordered from them I received an order confirmation shortly afterwards. Then they charge the card just before they pull the order and send you a tracking number when they print the shipping label. It should be shippednout the day you get a tracking number or maybe the day after depending on what time of day your order gets filled.

Yes you can - Just let 'em know you would like them to hold it for local pickup & when you intend to pick it up. If you plan to make your pickup on a weekday/during regular business hours you can place your order & pay when you pick it up, however if you plan to pickup your order on a weekend/outside of regular business hours they will generally charge your card when your order is pulled & packaged for shipping. The money I save on hazmat/shipping means I can usually squeeze another lb of powder & 1k primers on an order for the same price as having it shipped, & it gives me an excuse to visit family nearby.

I too learned this recently. I ordered some lead shot and some wads on a Thursday and it was Tuesday when it hit my card. I got the stuff two days later. They're a good company. That's the first time I had ordered from them and I definitely will again.

Just as an update I got a invoice and tracking number. It took two days and the package should be here on the 6th of November.

My card was charged today and I got a tracking number I just could'nt remember from a year ago that they wait to charge your card until they fill the order. that's the way it should be. All is well:D

The reason they wait to charge your card until the order is packed is then they know what the shipping charges are. They don't charge extra for s&h, just what it costs them.
