Power Bonds and roll crimp? UPDATED

Can a light roll crimp be applied to the .38 158 gr Power Bond bullets for loading in my .357 mag? I intend them to be used in both my revolver and my lever action rifle at less than full mag but heavier than 800 fps plinkers too. I believe I want at least a little bit of roll crimp for safety from movement in the chambered/tubed rounds during firing.

From what I can see in pictures (not always very accurate) is a section that looks like a cannelure but they look superficial and not a real cannelure. Am I seeing that right?

Found an answer I'm comfortable with in this Sticky. Didn't realize it got into "plated bullet" territory but see that it does.

Looks like plenty of cannelure for a light crimp.
PowerBond website says the plating is .010" - .011" thick, which is a lot more then Berry or Rainer plated bullets.
So, I think you could crimp into them a little without cutting through the plating.

You shouldn't need all that much at less then full power mag loads.

They will take a light roll crimp no problem. The "cannelure" is very shallow, but the crimper will push the case into the soft lead and copper without issues. I have used a very heavy taper crimp on them for midrange plus .357 loads with excellent results.
