Power Pistol in 45 ACP... excellet results

I have just loaded up a batch of 45 ACP using Hornady 230g FMJ-encapsulated bullets, 6.8 grains of Power Pistol, and an OAL of 1.255". I am getting a very consistent 825 fps out of a 5" 1911. This load seems to have about the same recoil as factory ammo such a WWB. It is suitably accurate. Power Pistol metered very consistently and cleanly with my Hornady case activated powder measure.

I just thought I would post this and see if other have had similar good experiences with PP.

I load 7.0gr PP with 230gr XTPs, very accurate 816fps out of my Kimber UCII. PP is my favorite pistol powder

i really like pp in sa pistols. works well for me in my 1911 and 185 jhp's...

I use PP in all jacketed pistol slugs I load - .380acp, 9 Makarov and Para, and +P .45acp for my 625 with good results other than some 'soot' and muzzle flash.
Red Dot and BEye for cast.
