Does anyone know is there is a way to make adjustments to a set of rubber grips that were made for the older style PPK to fit the new S-W model of the PPK? Seems all i see are grips from pachmayr & hogue that are rubber and state "not for s-w PPK" Thanks for any help

I don't think either Hogue or Pachmayr produce rubber grips for the PPK...only for the PPK/S which has a different grip. Your only real option is a slip on grip cover IMO.

Actually, isn't it the opposite? That is, don't the aftermarket rubber grips fit the old PPK and NOT the PPK/S? That was my understanding.

I'm considering a set of Crimson Trace for my PPK/S, because the factory hard plastic grips are just too slippery for a pocket pistol, imo. But I believe the CTs are the hard rubber, rather than the softer, grippier style, so not sure. Also a lot of moolah.

You might want to check out the coco bolo grips, made by Herrett, that are being offered at CDNN for the Walthers. They run $26.99 for the pair and are both eye-catching and practical, providing a solid grasp of the gun. I put a pair on my S&W-made PPK/S, which I use for daily carry, and wouldn't trade them for much of anything on the market. Here's a link:

thanks for reply, i had called s-w and was told they are NOT making , NOR have no plans to make any rubber grips for the PPK. Checked CDNN but alas they dont have grips for the PPK, just the ppk/s, guess im stuck with cruddy fatory plastic or slip-ons

Pachmayr makes their Signature rubber grips for the PP or PPK/S only. Their web site shows a seperate grip for the S&W PPK/S and another made for German made and Interarms guns. No PPK. Why, I have no idea.

I have Pachmayr on my German made .32acp PP, and they are excellent grips.

Hogue Handall!

Try the slip-on Hogue Handall grip for the PPK! It really works! The difference in feel and handling is like night and day, and there is no problem with "stickyness" with pocket carry. It is a perfect solution.....................elsullo

Go to Walmart...buy a cheap bicycle inner tube, cut to fit. Presto, you can make about 30 rubber slip on grips for about $3.99.

The PP and the PPK/S use the same frame. However, my understanding is that S&W made some some production changes in the grip frame resulting in grips for the S&W guns will not fit the German made guns. A fine kettle of fish.:banghead:
