"...Try SMLE bayonets..." You won't get one of them for $20. A bayonet for a No. 1 MkIII runs nearly $100.
Buying the bayonet first is backwards. You buy the milsurp rifle then look for the assorted bayonets and other accoutrements like grenade launchers. Although Cosmoline has a point. Lots of people collect bayonets and don't have any firearms.

Please don't insult my intelligence. I thought I made it quite clear that I have no intention of fixing the piece on a rifle. Did I say I was looking for a bayonet and a gun to go with it? No, I did not.

Edit: Note to self. Don't whine about insulted intelligence and then mispell a very common word.

:what: Is there a list or something you can put me on?

Okay, look, I'll be willing to pick up a bayonet for the first 4 people in addition to 11M who PM or email me. Let me know if you want the 1907 or No. I Mk. II*. From what I've seen, the longer 1907 isn't in as pristine condition (the No. I Mk. II* I picked up two weeks ago is new, except for storage marks and a battered scabbard), but both will be in VG shape or better.

Sucks. It's beginning to turn to fall- 50'F morning and night- and 90s or so during the day. Yesterday, we had some heavy wind in the 65 knot range (I grew up on the Gulf Coast, so I know what heavy wind looks like), but it never rained, as it usually does after really heavy wind. Visibility was down to about 50 meters for a while, but after the wind died, we had a rare glimpse of blue sky without the ubiquitous dust suspended it...for a while.

I'm missing the NW and SE woods. :(
