Pre-panic PTR-91 value?

Can anyone give me some advice on what a PTR-91 went for before this whole panic started? My coworker and I are talking about an "assault weapon" swap, one of my AR-15s for his PTR-91, but I'm trying to figure out what is comparable value-wise.

I don't know all the accessories, but he has a claw mount and a Hensoldt scope for it. I don't really know what these accessories are worth. Not sure if the rifle is a JLD build or what.

A brand new PTR91 goes for around $1k at CDNN before all this panic crap.

About $1,000 is about right. I got mine for less, but it was a private deal. The claw mount is pretty pricey, but nowhere near as pricey as most Hensoldt scopes. Accessories are hard to pinpoint value. I, for instance, don't want a scope on my PTR91, so why pay $1,000 extra for the scope and mount? $1,000 of customization is NOT worth $1,000 more in a private sale.

I never had a scope on mine when i had one, bit they arent made for scopes. Unless your friend has an adustable stock, youll be putting more money into it after the trade. After having both an AR and a ptr 91, Id keep the AR. The only thing the ptr 91 has going for it over the AR is .308 and the coolness factor when you pull it out at the range.
