I'd love to go after pheasant some day. Those things are tasty.

You don't have pheasant down there? Man, you don't know what you're missing. Nothing like seeing a big old rooster explode from cover and hearing him cackle to get your blood flowing. And you're right, they are mighty tasty.

Nope. I saw a cock pheasant cross the road one morning. TPW tried to stock 'em, but they didn't survive the heat and probably worse, the fire ants and rattlers. They never took hold. Closest area I could hunt is probably the Texas panhandle. That's a far piece from here.
