Got our first set of mineral blocks out and game cameras watching our food plots.
Do any of you put sulfur blocks out to help the deer with ticks like we do with cattle?

Shows how much I know..., didn't know about sulfur blocks. Is it stand-alone or is it mixed with salt?

This year I'm doing two feeders, dried dent corn with some strawberry jello powder tossed in whenever I re-load them..., as well as a couple of salt blocks. ;)

It's mixed with salt.

I disced and tried to plant a food plot last season. Damned hogs rooted it all up. Guess THAT ain't happening. I feed year around and we have a LOT of deer in this neck of the woods...and hogs. As to sulfur blocks, no, not on my place. Not sure about the neighbors.
No hogs to worry about here. I think it would be cool, but then I look at what they do to everything.

If you care about deer hunting, you don't want any hogs. They compete with deer for acorns and quality food .... and it's not a fair fight.
I've seen the damage hogs do.
It's like wanting a Supercar. The thought is cool, but the reality will break you.

Op yes I put out sulfur blocks yes I am getting ready to put out the food plots in a couple of weeks

Well, I'd rather eat pork than venison. More fat, tastier off the smoker. And, you don't have to mix it with pork to make sausage. It's already pork. :D
Pork even makes mutton taste good.
Deep fried venison is where it's at.

I used to like breaded backstrap pan fried. I made some a couple of days ago without the breading. I can no longer eat anything breaded and fried as it'd raise my blood sugar. I didn't even know I was diabetic until a few months ago when I passed out in church, blood sugar was 497 and BP was 85 over 30. I was as near death as I've ever been. So, now I have to watch what I eat and take these pills, no insulin shots thankfully. I've been reading up on diabetic comas. It's scary.

The roasts of venison is okay out of the crock pot where it just falls apart, but I still prefer a smoked pork ham. :D I eat BOTH, though. If I kill it, I'm gonna eat it, within reason. I mean, I don't eat rats and mice. :D And, meat don't raise my blood sugar at all.

Are you sure it wasn't the preacher who passed out when he saw you in church? ;) :D

Well, I'm on the board of the church and my wife was chairman of the search committee when we found that preacher. We'd gone 3 years with a volunteer. Ain't saying he gave a bad message or anything, but this new preacher is pretty awesome and he has doubled attendance since he took the job. :D

Just sayin'.....:D The ONE TIME, actually two times, I've missed church I had a danged good reason. It was opening day weekend of dove season. Oh, and I missed one Sunday when my buddies came down to hunt geese. They all knew I was in my other church at the time. :D
