I hate to ask. I'm sure it's annoying to those who have forked out for it, but I am in terra incognita.
Load is for a Ruger No. 3 chambered in 30-40. Keep in mind this is a falling block action rated to well over 65,000 psi. I am using 308 Winchester data and the 30-40 case has about 3 grains higher case capacity than the 308 Winchester.
Load is:
175 Grs Berger VLD Hunting
45 grs IMR 4895
WLR primer
R-P brass
Bullet is seated a little over a tenth inch off the lands. COAL is 3.281”
Pressure should be in the 57-59kpsi range but I would like to have some verification. No pressure signs but resizing definitely needs more force than cast Krag level loads.
Thanks very much for your assistance.
