I started a thread in the soon-to-be-defunct Roundtable section about photos I made using my newly constructed light-box. I thought I'd include some pictures of firearms here since they're gun-related and the other thread will soon be no more.

And as always, feel free to post your own pics'. I really enjoy seeing them.

So here goes...

Is it tough to make a light box?

Not at all. I followed the directions on this site: Light Box. I actually didn't go so far as to remove the burrs from the PVC or cement the pieces together. I found that friction holds everything fairly tight, and without the cement I can take it apart for storage or make it larger or smaller quite easily. In all, it cost $5.82 for the materials and about 10-15 minutes to cut the PVC and fit it all together.

THUNDERCATS HOOOOOO!

I like the snappy "Thunder Cat" emblem on the grips of the Beretta :) Actually it might look cool to paint a fine red inset on that cat emblem to make it look like a backwards Thunder Cat emblem, but it looks great anyway.

Just a cool little suggestion... I doubt you actually want to scar those handles in such a terrible way

spin180 those are great, and so are the scale car pics in the other thread. Thanks for the link to the lightbox how to. I've got to try that.

By the bye, I noticed your cop car was Asheville NC. Is that your home base? I love that town. I wish I was independently wealthy so I could retire there.

Pretty girls of every type, and 1,000 different beers. And thats just in the first two blocks. :D:cool:

Man I gotta get a better monitor at home. I looked at these last night and couldn't even tell the 2nd Glock was two-tone.:p

They are even more impressive when you can see them clearly. Good job Spin.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm glad ya'll like them.

I grew up and went to school there, but have since moved West a ways. I really used to like it there, but not so much now as it's changed quite a bit since my childhood. It's been overrun by a bunch of airheads and numbnut sissies and the traffic is horrible for a small city. It's kind of saddening to see all of the urban growth taking over. The area where I went to school used to be surrounded by a few homes and businesses and lots of trees. Now it's engulfed by endless rows of condos and business parks. It's barely recognizable as the same place.

I suppose it still has its' good points, though. Nice views, fair amount of history, and such.

I still visit often, but never more than a few hours at a time; it's all I can stand. :barf: :D

I only get there on business once or twice a year, so admittedly my vision of the area is somewhat narrow.

I don't spend as much time in the big city part of it. I usually fly in the night before, go to my meeting in the morning, then cruise around in the old downtown area off Merrimon.

Hit up the brew pubs and such or meet friends for drinks at that old hotel (name escapes me now) up on the hill. If I have an extra day, I'll go over to the Biltmore for a walk around. Stuff like that fascinates me.

We now return this thread to it's regularly scheduled topic.
:D

pull my trigger, baby
