I have an M&P 9mm and also a stainless steel revolver. During the summer I sweat battery acid. This results in rust on the M&P sights and frame and sights on the revolver. I normally clean them after each range visit, but my sweat is so powerful, I still get rust.
Anyone have secrets for preventing rust? I'm thinking a more permanent solution. Maybe clean alumihyde paint or black alumihyde for the sights. Has anyone tried this or another solution?
Oil just doesn't seem to stand up long enough.
