Seems as if the Pocket Nine draws different prices in different areas of the country. Here I've seen them sell (not ASK but SELL) for $675 or so....at least when you can find one. I may have seen one cheaper once but not lately. Have you checked the auctions like GunBroker or maybe give GunsAmerica a look? You might also ask on the 1911 forum in the COLT section.
I have seen them go starting at $500-$675. Anything around $475-$550 would be a good price. Not great, but good. I have shot one and wish I could get my hands on one. :banghead:
IMHO I don't think they're worth anything near the $675 mentioned. Especially not in stock configuration.
The prices of certain guns will only remain ridiculous as long as people are willing to pay ridiculous prices for them. Certain guns, even mediocre ones get this holy grail mystique about them as soon as they're out of production. Maybe they went out of production for a reason?
And who knows, maybe Colt will come out with a new Pocket 9 that's better than the old one. There's definately a market for them.
