I have an 870 express magnum with the 24 or 26 barrel. I want something a bit shorter for HD use, preferably able to accept a magazine extension. CDNN has wingmasters with ugly orange buttstocks and handguards for 189 or so. These have the 18.5 inch barrel. Do I jump on this, or buy the Ultra 870, a Century arms clone of the 870, with the 18.5 barrel, for 150.

CDNN OUT. Any Good deals out there for barrel under 20 inches with 5+ in the magazine. Under 200 maybe? thanks

Well, let's see...the real deal, or the imposter.... close call....

I'd take the wingmaster 10/10 times.

An "870 Wingmaster with ugly orange stock $189.00" is a deal. Even a novice can redo the wood finish if the looks bother you. Strip it down to bare wood and apply you choice of finish. I did mine in pure Tung oil.

I have no clue re the quality of the Century Arms clone. Parts are available to bring a real 870 back to life in the rare case that some small part failed, not sure the clone can pass the test of time.

Last time I checked with cdnn, those 870's were sold out. You can call them as they are always getting new lots in stock. Scour the used racks of local gunshops. After shipping and transfer you will close to $225 and Im sure you can find one a wingmaster in that price range.
