People are mentioning "I get mine for $70 bucks"........
Some of us don't have a Gander mountain or place like that that sells them. Some of us have to buy online,at a show or from a gunstore......
And a typical one "decent one" at a show goes from $130 to $160.That's what gunshows are selling them for.
And there is no way around paying tax and the $10 background check.
So buy online from a wholeseller and roll the dice, buy on a auction site where at least you see pics,or from a gunstore you are still going to pay the background check, maybe tax or a transfer fee which for me my guy charges $25.
Personally I prefere to handpick or see a photo,$25 or $30 more to pay a transfer fee is not a fortune to do so
And I know one particular dealer at shows who I have bought several rifles from and he always has the better quallity condition ones so we now have a customer/seller relation,I like that.
2 years ago members razzed me for buying a K31 for $200,they were quick to point out theirs only cost them $120
,but it was a nice tiger stripish stock. Now you can barely get a beat up one for that much.
If you see one you like might as well pay a little extra,it's not like you are pissing your money away with nothing to show for it.
