Price check on 91/30

How does $130 out the door with cleaning kit,ammo pouch, oil bottle, sling, and bayonet sound. Rearsenalled with a good bore and all parts match except for the magazine which has a line drawn through the original number and a new matching number stamped on it.

I bought a 91/30 made in 1932 over the weekend for $125. Same as the one you are referring to, it had all matching except for the magazine floorplate which was crossed out and stamped with a new one. I'd say $130 sounds about right, especially if it's pre-war.

A guaranteed good bore is nice, but $130 is a little steep for a 91/30. My 91/30 was around $100 with all the same goodies and a laminated stock.

AIM has 91/30's for $70 with goodies, but no guarantee on the bore.

I'd pass. There are better deals out there.

Paid same for my M44 with all the goodies. Nice shape, nice gun. A few more dollars than some I have seen but the condition was the key. Same everything, right down the the line on the mag. Bill

Ok, I'm going to pick it up thursday. I looked at it today. Local shop got in a shipment of about 7, 3 91/30s and 4 m44s. I looked at all of them with a bore light and they look like they were never shot. No counter bores on any of them. The $130 is out the door including tax and accessories. I figure by the time I buy a $70 Aim one sight unseen, pay shipping, and pay the FFL fee I might as well have just bought one of these anyway.

if it looks unshot you may end up with a fairly accurate one. OR you may end up needing to gently beat the sights on target...

If it shoots anything like my m44 I'll keep it. It puts 5 rounds into a ragged hole at 50 yards and 5 into a styrofoam to go box at 120 yards. That m44 is a 1945 Izzy with a counterbore, all numbers matching, with a laminated stock. My dad has a 1944 that looks like it was boxed up in 1944 and reopened in 2006. Turns out cosmoline actually preserves like nothing else.

Perfectly fair price. It's a centerfire full-power rifle in working order for under $200, quibbling over ten or twenty bucks is rather foolish if you like this particular rifle to begin with.

Nice point Vaarok. I still just wanted to check. It wasn't that long ago I could have gotten one for $60 and I wanted to check. My last one was $90 with all accessories.

I've got 9 MN's.
2 - 91/30s
2 - M44's
2 - T53's
1 -M38
1 - M39
1 - Sportered 91/30 (actually very nicely done, bought it that way).

I have never paid over $100 for any of them with the exception of the Finn M39 ($229).
That being said, some of these rifles were bought at shows where the dealer had piles of them, in sorting through them looking for that "pearl" some of the ones in the mix were in pretty rough shape, but same price as the nicer ones.
Long story short....being able to actually check out the rifle you want and the opportunity to pick from several is worth a few bucks in itself. Much better than having ANYTHING mailed to you. After including taxes, shipping fee's and FFL transfer fee (if you don't have a C&R), is going to add up to $130 or more. The price out the door is fair, not great, but fair, if the rifle is in good shape. You could shop around and try to find a equal rifle for a little less, but MN's are like anything else FA related these days (getting more expensive every day). If you like the rifle and are convinced it's in good condition.......pay the man.
