I gladly paid $1100 for mine a few months ago, it was like new. I would have also gladly paid a couple hundred more for a true "new in the box" one. They are not that easy to find.
uh, confused, the OP calls it an Officers in the spec. but
also as a CCO - the CCO is an Officers frame with Commander
length 4.25" Bbl/SLide What's the deal? when did
Gunsite do the run of smaller platform models?
The specs listed in the first post are right off the end flap on the Colt box. The Gunsite CCO is little known. I could not find it in my Blue Book and that is why I asked here. Best as I can tell, Colt did a limited run of about 1500 CCO's sometime in 2004 but no later than 2005.
The full size I have is the honest to God, never to be traded or sold, real shooter. I am hoping the CCO measures up as well.

Many had a poorly fit beavertail.
Many had a noticeable gap underneath the front sight (Colt used the wrong cut).
The come with standard size grips and bushings.
The mainspring housing is plastic/nylon.
The factory dehorning is less than optimal on many.
They do NOT come with the McCormick trigger/sear/hammer, they use standard Colt stuff.
The magazines are NOT Wilsons, they are stock Colt (with the split follower).
I have been doing my due diligence on the CCO and found that informative thread on 1911 Forum. I do not carry full time anymore. The full size Gunsite is a constant companion in the truck and around the ranch so I may have to objectively determine if I "need" the CCO.
Of course, "want" and "need" get all blurred together at times
Look at the 'butt' of the Harrison rework. The bottom rear corner of frame/mainspring housing. Notice it is quite rounded?
Now look at the others. Pointy!
I don't understand why anyone, original manufacturer or gunsmith, would not address this area on a pistol that was promoted as a 'carry gun'.
Yet I see it every day.
Harrison is one of The Very Best 1911 Smiths in the world. And he carries
a 1911.
Beware of a 1911 smith that carries a Glock.
