The LGS has a late 60s Savage 100 Deluxe model, left handed, series H chambered in 7mm Rem Mag for $399.50.
Nice wood, d/t for mount but currently plugged, iron sights.
Nice checkering on the stock, action is smooth as silk. Overall the gun is in great condition although the stock has a lot of dents and dings, and it's finish is about worn off. Metal all looks good, no major wear.
It's obviously pre Accused-trigger/stock, but the break is crisp and predictable and very light weight.
Overall it's a very nice rifle.
Now the drawback. It's chambered in 7mm Rem Mag, a round I have zero experience with. And my reloading set up is limited to Lee single round loaders. I simply don't have the setup to load for 7mm mag, and factory ammo isn't cheap, but it is fairly widely available.
Caliber aside, is the price a good deal, too high or about average? I've been looking for something in .308, but if this is a.good price, I may invest into 7mm mag.
