I'm considering picking up a used HK USP 45 but don't really know how to value these. It is a KF date code, described as good condition with minor holster wear, low round count. Does not include the original box or paperwork, but does include 5 12rd magazines and has an EFK standard barrel installed.

KF = 1995.

Paid $400 for my stainless/two tone USP 40 with a KG date code last fall. One mag, lots of use, but it still shot better groups than any Glock 40 I've owned. USP in 45 is even better I'm told.

New USPs sell for between 7-800 at my local shop. Mags are expensive..

Why does it have an EFK barrel in it? I'd ask if the factory HK barrel is still around. If not, I wouldn't take it.

The original barrel isn't present, seller says it was changed improve accuracy. It might not be a bad thing as I was considering the occasional use of hard cast lead 45 Super loads.

I'd bet against this being true. But you won't like the price of a barrel from HK, that's for sure.

I'd say no as well, except for the 5 12-round mags, assuming all are original HK mags, as these are typically ~$50 each when you can find them so you got about $150 in spare mags.

What is the asking price? Used all original USP 45 with original box and two 12-round mags usually sell for about $500-550 around here.

Do some Google-foo on EFK Firedragon barrels, results seem below Lone Wolf or Storm-Lake in the same price range, but EFK seems to cover a wider variety.

Most of what I've seen online about the EFK barrels in USPs seemed pretty positive. Magazines are all HK, 4 are new/unfired. The seller offered it in trade for a like new Rem 700 SPS Tactical, scope mount and brass/bullets/dies that I listed for sale/trade.

Yeah, because HK pistols are renown for being inherently inaccurate. Right.:barf::barf:
