None of those appear to be a steal from where I'm sitting.

For $900, the Garand had better be immaculate. You can get one from CMP for almost half of that.

As to Garands, it also depends upon the parts, and how many are from the same manufacturing period as the serial number, and from the same manufacturer. Almost every part has a marking that could help you determine lineage. There are books out there, such as those by Scott Duff that would let you identify whether the parts are correct. If you just want a shooter, you can get a surplus Springfield for $520 shipped to your door from CMP, and it could have matching parts for some of the more important items, such as the barrel and stock. (Note that most Garands have been rebuilt at arsenals, and there aren't many parts-correct ones out there.) Winchesters tend to be more valuable than Springfields with collectors, because there were less of them made. However, Winchesters were made using designs that were improved upon during the war by Springfield.

Before you plunk down $900 for a Garand, you should buy a book and check out the wealth of information at http://www.jouster.com/cgi-bin/garand/garand.pl

Good luck.

The Garand seems OK but the Oly is about $50 high and the AK47 is about $20 high.

Are you sure you really want a Garand? I've had several in the past and they don't compare in any manner with an FAL or G3 except in history but that would only be a factor if that particular Garand HAD a documented past. Most don't, it could easily be a Winchester "parts" gun that spent its history spread out in 20 different stateside Army Posts.:uhoh:

Will he sell w/o the 110 round mag?
I would not expect that to work or to be able to walk too well when carrying same.

CNDD Investment has new Bushmaster shorties for 699.
The Garand and AK are over priced IMO.
