Price mistake...ethics?

I don't see it as right or wrong, but I have always believed if I insist on errors being corrected when they are not in my favor - I feel a need to insist on errors being corrected when they are in my favor.

But if you buy as it's priced, that is what the average man would do. Of course, it doesn't take much in this world to be an above-average man. I am amazed that there are so few of them.

At the very most, you did your due diligence when you asked the clerk "are you sure?" If he still insists it's $299, then it's $299. Game over.

It sounds like a few people pay more than the asking price if they feel the item is worth more than the tag price.

No, sir - but if they gave me back too little change I'd want it. Why is it different if the shoe is on the other foot?
As others have mentioned though - and I should have clarified - if I've brought it to their attention (to management vs. a floor clerk) and they STILL insist that the price marked is accurate....then, yeah - we're done and I've no regrets.

Different store,

I was in a Lowe's buying tile for a bathroom re-model. The sales clerk rang up 1 tile and that is it. I had several boxes of tile. I told her & showed her that there were several per box, etc. She did not understand, I finally went to the service desk tried to explain it to them. After literally arguing with them (Trying to pay) I just took my reciept for the 1 tile and left.

AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE: I give the store one chance, I state clearly the mistake and if they don't fix it, don't understand, etc....... I WIN and I dont feel bad about it!

From now on when you go to a gun store dont ask if they can do better or take less, tell they you want to give 200.00 more than the price, just in case someone put the wrong price on it. There now everybody is happy!:D

After all its just money, the governmnet makes it 24 hours a day!
