OK, there is ABSOLUTELY a run on guns happening now. Derek posted up the first report yesterday, confirmed by people all over the country.

Checking out this morning some of the prices that stuff is bid up to this morning on gunbroker;

1000 rds. 5.56 > $700
1000 rds 45 ACP > $395
1000 rds 9mm > $225
Certain AK-47's > $1000
FN SCAR's are bid up to about a $800-1000 premium across the board
AR-15 stripped lowers drying up FAST (less than 1 page worth remaining this morning)

Magazine prices (at the moment) appear to be holding steady, except for those SCAR magazines I'm looking for (go figure). People are gouging on those at > $125 each.

Any updates to high bidding / price gouging / lack of availability, please post below.

The price of 9mm isn't all that much different than say 10 boxes of Winchester white box bulk packs. I am guessing that .45acp is fairly close to the WWB prices too.

Now the .223 prices are over the top....

In all fairness those are SS109 green tip, AP has always drawn a premium for some strange reason.

I don't think ammo will dry up TOO quickly, if at all.

Anyone know if the ammo manufacturers are still running high production? Or did they back off?

It seems like there are a lot of Sellers on GB with crazy prices lately just fishing for the one right person who will pay what they're asking for vs. moving products by transactions or volumes.

The most recent Saiga auctions.......

.........are getting steep. 7.62 unconverted models for around $600. Used .410s, unconverted, for $450. wow! That's nuts!

On Gunbroker today, new Kel-Tec Sub-2000s are getting dozens of bids upwards of $700. I haven't been checking recently, but that seems crazy high.

MSRP is $400. A few weeks ago my LGS was selling them for $277; he's sold out now.

Ammo prices aren't really elevated yet. They caught my eye but for the TYPE it's normal. My apologies. :)

KelTec Sub 2000's are elevated

FN-SCAR's are VERY elevated

FS2000 slightly elevated (just about to crack 2 grand)

PS90/FNAR seem to be normal or below MSRP still

Some high-end AR-15's are becoming very elevated (La Rue, Colt, Sig, etc)

Ruger Mini-30 going for over a grand with 30 bids.

WASR10/63's bid upwards of 550 (slightly elevated; saw two yesterday in a local gun shop for 499..)

Also, interestingly some "rare" pieces starting to show up, buyers taking advantage of the volume.

Scalping also visible; particularly on 50BMG. Elevated prices but no bids.

$1200 for a case of green tip ammo...was $420 at Academy like 2 days ago.

Kicking self.

Pmags seem to be going for $30-$40.

M&P Sport was a $650 rifle for a long time. Now $1000?

As far as $1000 Aks. The nice ones have been about that for awhile.

Damnitall. I Was at a gun store two weeks ago thinking about buying a complete CMMG AR lower to put together a 50 Beowulf. They were $249 and I decided to think about it and shop around. wish I had just bought it. OH well, I am not going to pay $400+. I may regret that later as well, but I have principals.

Gander mountain had 5.56 here yesterday for $799 for 2000 rounds. i bought 1 deal. thought about it last night and was going back this morning and buy more, called them, but too late. all gone. yes Gander Mountain.

I already had guns, ammo, and magazines (for the most part).

I hit the stores yesterday for primers and brass while everyone else was scrambling to buy guns and ammo.

Gotta be one step ahead..

I think the volume of NICS checks this week will set some staggering records.

This is one run on guns that I'm actually supportive of.

We're speaking loud and clear with our dollars.
