Primary Arms Scopes

THey are made in China but they are getting pretty good reviews on arfcom, for what they are. I have one of their aimpoint clones and it has been solid.

They are good for Training or to put on .22s. Not so great for real use however. The owner will even tell you as much. I intend to get one of their Aimpoint Micro Clones for my M&P22

I've got one of their Gen 7 Micro red dot sights on an Ultimak rail on my 7.62x39 AK, so far so good. I like it enough that next time I've got a spare $700 burning a hole in my pocket I'll think about buying the Aimpoint it emulates. IF I were going to Iraq it'd be a higher priority, but so far this thing looks like it'll be fine for my purposes.

Good folks to deal with, I've been to their shop and see them at local gun shows and they ship fast!

Thier scopes and red dots are all good products.
For the price they can't be beat. I'm more realistic about my firearm uses and I'm not about to spend $700+ on an optic. I'm not going to be banging my rifle and optic around in a blackhawk or in the back of a troop transport.
I'd rather spend the money on ammo to feed the gun and be more proficient on iron sights.

That being said, I have one of the earlier gens of Primary Arms red dots and it's taken a beating and keeps on going.

Had one of their M3 clones. Solid, good piece of equipment that did its job and for a great price. Looking to buy a Micro clone for my current build. Definitely recommended. :)

With Primary Arms, I don't think it's so much the product as the people that stand behind them. As stated, I don't know that I'd bet my life on one, but they are good for what they are. If I were looking for a knock off, I wouldn't buy it from anyone else. Primary Arms is not just a fly by night company, the also sell high end stuff too.

Outstanding company that definitely stands behind their products and services. Got 1 of their M3 multi reticles and it's been flawless. Marsh, the owner, tests the optics on many of his own firearms to ensure they can take the abuse, up to and including shottie rounds, .308, and I believe he even said .50 beowulf. Regardless, I've never had an issue with mine and would feel supremely confident that it would be resolved with ease had I ever experienced one. As stated, Marsh will tell you not to take these to combat and expect them to perform like an Aimpoint, they may, but that was never their intended purpose. They allow normal folk like you and I to have the reliability we need for our purposes at a price that we can afford. Look on arfcom for mucho information, Marsh is a daily poster there to answer questions you may have.

I've got one of their red dots too.

I did actually have a problem with mine: It kept loosening up under recoil. Blue loktite and tightening the screw until the head started to strip out. E-mail PA's and I had a new plate shipped out that day USPS Priority mail at no charge.

Totally agree that I want a real Aimpoint on the social rifle (and it has one) but these are perfect for fun guns.

I have two of their MicroDots - a gen3 and a gen 8. They both live on AR-15s. I will eventually get one for my AR15-22 as well.

I have no problem with "betting my life" on these scopes. I have irons sights on my guns as well, and if the PA scopes go sideways on me while I'm in a survival situation, no big deal.

+1 on all the responses so far. I have the gen7 micro on an Ultimak Arsenal SA-M7 and it has been fine through ~500 rounds with some rapid fire (it gets hot on there). Good customer service reviews is what convinced me to try it and there aren't many options for co-witnessing on an AK.

The 1-4x24 is a 1/2 price version of the Millet DMS1. I think they may be made in the same Chinese factory and labeled differently.
