Here's what I "know" about primer brands: CCI's are the hardest to ignite, and Federals the easiest, depending on what the cup is made of. Where, in your experience, would you put the others?

CCI (hardest)

Winchester
.
Federal (softest)

Lot to lot differences may move any one of the brands up or down the scale at any time.
The metallic composition and cup thickness are called on to meet certain standards. But LOT to LOT differences (especially the numbers they're pumping out today) can be quantified in some way shape or form if you studied hard enough.
