Heres my trouble
Was looking to use cci-250 in 7.62x54r just a fight to get them to seat thought I may have a slightly crimped primer pocket so ran my reamer through a few made a difference but not enough.
Was going to use winchester LRP and try'ed a few slid right in(brass cup)
then came across a box of winchester large rifle primers for standard or mag loads (stainless) fit right in just a lil more pressure then the brass.
Is the only difference between WLRP std, and the WLRP for std or mag the cup? and why am I having so much trouble with the CCI-250.
I am using a lee hand primer

Winchester primers are softer than CCI primers, Maybe they conform better to the tighter primer pocket.

Federal are supposed to be the softest. You could also try a box of those.

As long as they go in with out damaging the primer pellet. I have primed some pretty tight primer pockets in my life and so far I've not had a problem.

Make sure they prime a few thousands under flush and they aren't all flattened out after putting them in and you should be alright.

I've used Winchester primers my entire life and done some pretty mean things to them (with in reason) and they still always fire.

If you are mangling them putting them in, then obviously don't use them.
