Its been said that it go's like this , Winchester, cci, federal. Ign energy most consistent being the cci. I wonder where the remington primers fit into the formula? Any thoughts guy's on this question ! This is of course is speaking for the 45 ACP Only. Thanks k&j 223;)

Not enough difference to worry about in the low pressure .45ACP round
Winchester large pistol primers are used for both standard and Magnum loads

Remington 2 1/2's consistently produce more velocity than WLP or CCI 300's in my 45ACP loads using Unique and AA#5 powder. In my small comparison test RP's showed about 20fps more than WLP and as much as 40 fps more than CCI's. Only thing I noticed that in my one test, WLP and RP's showed nearly identical velocity when at or near maximum loads. I'd say that RP 2 1/2 was slightly hotter than WLP and definitely hotter than CCI. CCI 300 did however in some loads produce the best uniform velocity spreads. Unless you're loading at maximum pressure, you could switch to either of the 3 brands. I think primers behave a little differently depending on powder and the space the powder fills in the case. All 3 are good primers. With my pistol shooting capability I'd be hard pressed to choose which would create more accuracy.
