Speaking of Dimebag. When they played that concert in OH where the lunatic shot him, there was a CCW holder that had his gun in the car because firearms were not allowed in the venue...

The ccw holder was a member of packing.org and posted his account the following day. He was right up front.

Not that he could have changed that outcome even if he were carrying.

I would actually think a lot of rockers would be some what into shooting.
After all those horrible 80's videos with girls and guns and heavy metal are all aimed at them.

I believe Redman (rap) is into guns
I think Guttermouth (punk) too, as they have lyrics about hunting and stuff.

Don't confuse a song written by someone other than the singer with a nod toward a gun for a singers pro gun stance.

Most would sing about purple aliens in dresses picking daiseys if it would sell records. Most also tend to be elitests who don't think the common folk have the same rights as they do.

Ted Nugent

OP said artists.

XD Fan: No drugs on the bus ever, but his name is Dimebag??? Interesting.
He once stated in an interview that in the part of Texas he and his brother (the drummer) grew up in, someone would just give you a new name if they couldn't remember your real one. I remember "Desmond," "Diamond," and lastly "Dimebag." His real name was Darrell Abbott.

FWIW, I distinctly remember James Hetfield of Metallica blasting an 870 at an old junk pile on the documentary "A Year And A Half in The Life of Metallica."

What is more important is if all of these people think that us lowly regular folk should be allowed to have them too. Plenty of Hollywood celebrities are avid shooters but then they support every gun control candidate that comes along (Steven Spielberg comes to mind) because they feel that they're better than everyone else and that the law won't apply to them because of the influence they have (and they are probably right).

Sir Mix-a-lot has a diddy titled "No Holds Barred"

The whole piece is about gun rights and why we need them. No 'gangsta' garbage involved.

yes, this is the same guy that did 'baby got back'

I remember reading an interview that James Hetfield had done saying how he decided he needed to stop drinking after spending a week in a remote part of russia hunting bear with nothing to drink but vodka and snow.

Another artist is Zak Wylde from black label society and also plays guitar for Ozzy as well.

Rush is libertarian, I assume they are also pro-gun.
One good thing to come out of Canada.
Big & Rich, or at least John Rich. In the booklet that comes with Between Raising Hell & Amazing Grace (great album, IMHO) he includes a quote from his grandfather, "If it weren't for guns and people who knew how to use them, we'd all be salutin a swastika or the Rising Sun" Something along those lines, don't know the exact quote.
The real Lynyrd Skynyrd all packed, and I'm pretty sure Saaturday Night Special was a parody.

I play bluegrass music with my graddad...and we're pro gun. :)

Also, I know Lamb of God is pro 2A. My neighbor knows the band well and shoots with them regularly.
