You may have gotten Parade Magazine in your Sunday paper this week. If so (the one with Sarah Jessica Parker in the cover), flip to back page and you will find this:

    Get in line. :p

That girl has an amazing voice and it's great to hear that she's open about guns.

The article is written by James Brady, I just thought that was a little ironic. I know he's not from those Bradys, but still.

Anyone who has ever heard her song "Gunpowder and Lead" should not be surprised to hear that she has a CCW.

Miranda is great. "Gun Powder and Lead" came to her during her CCW class. In one interview she talks about shooting her bow in a Chicago alley before a concert and all the weird looks she got; made me smile.

She's a looker. I can only imagine a reporter wide-eyed biting tongue trying to get a solid interview as she explains carrying a concealed firearm.. Must have been interesting.

Of course it sort of gets justified by "single girl living alone and traveling" bit. I would rather have heard I am American and it's my right, but I'll take it!

I love "Gunpowder and Lead." I always love a good story of a woman taking it upon herself to provide for her own protection.

Glad to hear she's even more pro-2a than I thought. :)

is a genuine war hero of the Korean fighting. Get his book, called I think The Longest Winter, or maybe The Coldest War. Great read.

only problem is at the very end, after the gunshot, is the distinctive sound of brass hitting the floor. it works well in the song, but a little disconcerting in a song about a shotgun.

She should have used a handgun in the song. It makes more sense anyway. A woman wielding a shotgun is ill advised and not common.

Maybe she was a CAS shooter and those were her black powder loads in brass shotgun shells.
