The only thing that keeps me from shooting my SOCOM as much as I would like is i have a variety of unreliable magazines that like to misfeed and occasionally 'volcano' on me.

I have read very positive reviews on a few sites but wanted to know if any of the THR group has had any experience with the Pro-Mag 20 round magazines. They seem quite reasonably priced ($22.50 at Midway).

With ProMags, you're just setting yourself up by buying more crappy, unreliable magazines.

CMI magazines at 44Mag.com. $20 each. GO.

honestly, in the dozen or so Pro-Mags i have bought for other firearms, i have yet to have a bad product, despite most people normally nay-saying them. the reviews on this magazine on several sites are VERY positive and i may give a few a try.

Yep get those CMI mag's!!!!!!!! As mentioned 44Mag.com is the place to get them.
I have 15 of those CMI mags and they work GREAT. IMO those are the only mags to buy if you are buying new mags for your m14/m1a.

Its USGI mags like CMI or Winchester and the like, nothing else will be reliable, take it from me, and the pile of junk mags I have laying around.....

Why buy inferior **** for more than you can buy quality CMI magazines? ***, over? Snap out of it. Buy the CMI magazines.

Suit yourself... *shrugs*

Get the $20 CMI mags from 44Mag.com or the $10 Korean mags from Centerfire Systems.

I've got far more ProMags that don't work than ones that do over the years to bother with them anymore as long as alternatives that aren't Triple-K or National are available.

What sites? many delete negative reviews. Also many of the reviewers seem to think 3 failures in 100 rounds "works great".
