Problem with Browning High-Power clone

I have an Israeli Kareen pistol. It's an exact copy of the Browning High-Power.

I have the following problem with the pistol:

When there is no magazine in the weapon and the trigger is pressed the trigger lever is pushed out of its correct position in the pistol. It seems that the trigger spring pushes the trigger lever out of its correct place. When the magazine is in the weapon the problem does not occur because the preasure of the magazine safety avoids that the trigger lever is pushed out.

THat is exactly what it is supposed to do

The magazine disconnector (or safety if you prefer) is activated by the magazine. If ther is no mag to activate it, the tip of the trigger lever will move away (forward) from the correct position for firing so that it cannot engage the sear lever. Unless you are trying to say that your trigger lever fall out or some such, your gun is functioning correctly. This condition prevents dry firing or live firing with no mag which is why many folks remove the mag disconnect.

All right then. Now you need to inspect the trigger, trigger spring, and trigger lever for correct assembly and/or damage. My first step would be to chck the trigger spring to insure that it has not been bent, broken, or incorrectly installed. The trigger spring is what captures the trigger lever in the machined recess in the trigger. The lever can be removed from the trigger if the spring tail is not in place. Check that first, then get back to us.
