Took a brand new Ruger SR22 to the range today with several types of ammo: Federal Automatch, CCI Stinger, Federal Lightning.

Regardless of the ammo the trigger would fail to reset after several rounds. Could not fire a whole mag without this happening. Only way to get the gun to shoot again was to drop the mag and insert it agin... Operated the decocker several times, nothing changed.

Only had one of the 2 mags the pistol comes with so can't say if this is a mag problem or something more serious. Any ideas?

While my wife's SR22 tends to be a bit finicky on ammo, it tends to be with a cold gun. Once it been fired a couple of magazines it seems to work better. So I would say that what you are describing sounds excessive.

Send it back to Ruger. One of the best things about the SR22 is that it eats everything. If yours doesn't do that, you aren't getting full functionality and something is wrong. I've never had any kind of malfunction with mine. Call Ruger. They'll make it right.

I must say Ruger has great service. Shipped it out on Monday, had it back at home on Friday. Problem per their report sheet was the magazine disconnector that was replaced.
