I bought a Redhead Pursuit Deluxe Red Dot Scope from Bass Pro several years ago. It was very inexpensive, but I thought I would try it. It a few drawbacks, but it has turned out to be a great little scope for plinking with a 10/22. The only real problem I have is that over time the brightness adjustment knob has become increasingly loose. Has anyone had a similar problem, and have you figured out how to fix it.

I know, buy a cheap scope and you get what you pay for. Still, it has been a fun scope, and I am hoping someone can help me out with a solution.

I'm not familiar with that brand but if it has a 2032 battery inside the brightness knob, often there are three small screws and a threaded ring that holds it all together. Sometimes tightening the threaded ring is all that is needed, other times you need to remove the ring and tighten the small screws under the circuit board that hold the battery compartment to the body. I use some Loc-Tite if it comes to this.

I've gotten lots of good service from "cheap" red dots, but a few have needed this "adjustment".

Nothing wrong with cheap, I bought an Uzi for $5500 a few years back and immediately stuck a cheap red dot on it and it worked great. Went to a Uzi shoot and everyone had super cheap optics! Well not everyone but many. :)
