Many folks keep longarms muzzle down so no oil seeps into wood. Even in the old days many guns over the mantel were not "crooked"... that muzzle lower than buttstock for a reason
I kept some that way hidden a business muzzle down ,cruiser ready, kept bugs /dust out, and If I had to grab it the muzzle was safe and aided my to my muzzle control. Especially the one in the fake tree. Guess what was muzzle down behind door #3 ?
I was/am creative, when it comes to hiding stuff. The movie Beverly Hills Cop, the scene with the guns behind the door...about 4 employess said that reminded them of me...we had a fake /false door... #4... in that business, they stole my idea.
