Problems with Ohaus powder scale

I have an Ohaus 7200 Duo Measure powder scale. I can't get it to zero. It will do it once and then be off. I have used it in the past and it worked. I haven't used it for about five years. I have cleaned it and checked the knife edges and the mounts. I'm at a complete loss. It is similar to the large RCBS scale. Any ideas would be a help.

Check the beam to see if it's bent. I would also make sure it is sitting as level as possible on the x and y axis both. Take it to another room and try to zero it to see if it stays. Maybe the furnace is running and blowing on it.

I'm grasping at straws here.

My Ohaus DuoMeasure is a powder measure. Maybe that is the problem!

Your right it is a powder scale. I also have the Ohaus powder measure.

When mine is off, it's because of dust at the center of gravity.
