problems with the Rock island...

so I went and shot my rock island for the second time and had quite a few problems mainly and most concernly it wouldn't RTB :uhoh:

and once I did finally get it to chamber a round it would would fail to feed the last round...any ideas? weapon fired fine the first time i shot it just had 2 FTE's with WWB. shot 140 rounds the first time, and less than 50 rounds this time...

If you can't get it to run, hop on over to 1911 forum and pm Ivan. He is a rep for RIA and will treat you right.
 
Unless you were shooting reloads (your own or commercial), +1 to contacting Armscor. Over on 1911forum.com I seem to recall someone with an RIA that seems to have not recieved the final chamber reaming making it way too sensitive to ammo. Modern manufacturing methods as they are, if one got out, I suspect there are at least a few more. Recall that a happy ending was reported.

I helped a fellow at the range with a new stainless Colt that had "locked up" with a round not in battery. Using the rubber mallot in my range bag I got it unloaded. Looking at his other rounds most were too large to fit the chamber, my ammo dropped right in.
