Also, LaRue MBT-2s kind of got me stuck on two stage triggers in ARs, but I have to say, I really like the two stage in this Sig. I have it set to break at ~2.5lbs, very crisp and nice IMO.

A 2-stage trigger is my favorite for any precision rifle, and that includes hunting rifles. It was another aspect of the Cross that I got excited about.

Super easy to pull the barrel, and they use a neat double barrel nut system, one to headspace the barrel extension and another AR wrench compatible nut to attach the barrel assembly to the receiver.

Can you show some detailed photos of the barrel/nut arrangement? I was looking for videos showing how to swap a Cross barrel but couldn't find any. It's hard to see what's going on in your photo above. I can make out a barrel nut but not much else.

The barrels were shipped priority 3-day with USPS, but wound up taking over two weeks and over three weeks to arrive, respectively. With holiday travel and stuff, I just got the 6.5 barrel mounted up last night. Here are a few pictures that kind of show the extension headspaced by a Savage style barrel nut, and then how the barrel assembly is connected to the receiver using an AR-ish barrel nut. It was all very easy, just torque to 40 ft-lbs and done.

@Gtscotty, thanks very much for the excellent photos. That's a really cool rifle. I kind of built my own version of the Cross in the form of a Proof barreled 84M but obviously no folding stock or two-stage trigger, both of which I like. Damn SIG for not including a locking bolt handle in the design. Oh well.
