"Voluntary trigger upgrade" for P320 offered by SIG Sauer

In response to the recent rash of videos demonstrating SIG P320s firing primed cases when dropped muzzle up at 30 degrees off the vertical, SIG Sauer has done its own testing over the weekend and acknowledged there is an issue. They issued a press release this morning:

As noted in the article and press release, more details regarding the "voluntary upgrade" (which SIG is not calling a recall) will be forthcoming next Monday.

Interesting. So it is a combination of inertial trigger travel clearing the striker block and sear bounce that causes the drop discharges.
