prone shooting mats?

We shot prone at the Alvin York memorial shoot this spring. I used Mrs armored 's yoga mat. It worked fine for me....believe me I saw all kinds of shooting mats.
Catch the Midway mat(s) on sale. It's a good mat at a good price. They have two, this one is the bigger one. I have both, get the bigger one. It's about this big. (See pic.) Folds out in less than a minute. Rolls up fast, slower if you try to keep crap out. People shoot F Class off of mats, so stable enough. Depends on what's under it though. I have a $20 "mini" mat that is small and thin but handy to keep in the vehicle. It will work OK, but the bigger ones give more protection from the ground/critters/etc.
We have been shooting more prone matches at the club, so I'm looking at the midway mat also.
You should have your wife shave her legs before you take a picture of her with your shooting mat.

That just made me laugh out loud!

* a side note on shooting amongst the chiggers*
When I was about 7 years old, my dad and I were hunting groundhogs in a secluded hay field. We wound up belly crawling and laying in the hay field while he shot 3 or 4 hogs with the trusty .243 700 Remington.
The next day I had too many chiggers to count. Anywhere my clothes were tight there was just a mass of chiggers bites. I had a fever and had to have a sedative to keep from scratching.

Yep, the chiggers do not bury in, so "sealing" the bite does no good. Wash and they are gone. But, as Craig posted, the damage is done, the enzyme is melting your flesh, and the itching/healing will take awhile. Ammonia is the best thing I have ever tried. It turns the itching off like a switch for me, and they heal up much faster when sprayed with glass cleaner once or twice a day as needed as well. A win win..
