Prvi Partizan Ammunition

I bought 80 rounds of 7.62x54 for a Finn Model 39, was very good ammo and I think I've reloaded the brass three times at least.

I've used it in several different calibers. It's always gone boom. Seems to be plenty good for the cost.

I've used it as well in .223. It's not match ammo, but a good value for the price. Reliable, and good brass.

I bought about 800 rds of their match .308 for my FAL and M1a. It's not as reliable as I would like in my FAL. I've found that it's a bit underpowered for my FAL when the gas setting was set for Winchester WB ammo. I also found the brass to be pretty soft. My FAL is pretty respectful to most brass, but it just beat the heck out of the Privi stuff.

YMMV

For the 375H&H, not all rounds will chamber. The bolt wouldn't close on 6 out of a box of 20 for me. Midway USA has feedback with others having the same problem. Apparently, there's a problem with the belt.

PPU is the poo.

I love em, and for affordable .303 britt and 7.62X54R brass you can't beat it. Seller and Bellot brass is junk for reloading in .303. I had case head seps with mild loads on the first reloading in my rifle. I thought I had a head space issue, nope it was the brass.

PPU is on its 4th loading and still going strong.

Can't say enough good stuff about it other than we need lots more.

Wolf gold line uses PPU brass FYI so if your looking for inexpensive quality brass go that route.

I've used over 1,000 rds of .38 spl. It's a bit dirty in that caliber, but shoots just fine.
And I've reloaded the brass 5 or 6 times already.

I just bought an AR-15, so I ordered 5 boxes of .223 from MidwayUSA, haven't had a chance to shoot 'em yet, but I'm not concerned about the quality.

As I understand it, Prvi Partizan also contracts to make metric caliber ammo sold by Wolf and by Winchester. I have bought Prvi Partizan branded ammunition in 7.62x25mm, 7.62x54R and 6.5x52mm and it has been good, servicable ammunition. I have only reloaded the 6.5mm but the brass seems to be equal to the Norma brass I have reloaded in the same caliber.

i'll just say that if anyone in this thread is trying to get rid of some of their match .308, message me ;)

3 - 5 years ago PPU came out with few defected lots for 308, I guess my local gunshops stockpile it...

I fairly certain that 3-5 years ago wasn't the only time the've dropped a bad batch into the system...

little over a year ago I ordered 140rds of their 175gr Match .308 load to go with a new Rem 700 SPS-V i'd just bought...

This particular batch of PPU never consistently produced groups under 3-4MOA, even when i asked other shooters, who i knew to be better than myself, to try it in an effort to remove the "nut behind the trigger" factor. whereas both the wincester hunting ammo i originally sighted it in with and the 15+ year old Georgia Arms reloads i had on hand, averaged 1.5-2moa.

around the net, for whatever reason, i have seen more "leave it on the shelf" type comments about PPU .308, than i have ever seen positive comments.

I've replaced that batch of PPU with 150 pieces of factory fresh Winchester empties and started over.

Decent cheap ammo. I've had no jams with the rifle ammo. Used in .243 and .30-30. Did have a ftf with .380 Prvi but it was a brand new pistol and it fed fine from then on. Also, if you go to Academy stores and buy their store brand, Monarch, it is basically Prvi with the name Monarch on it. Both manufactured by the same company and both in Serbia.

As I understand it, Prvi Partizan also contracts to make metric caliber ammo sold by Wolf and by Winchester.

Some people ought not be allowed near a keyboard. Prvi Partizan contracts to make metric caliber ammo sold by Wolf, but the Winchester metrics are obviously S&B.
