PSA Dagger

I do like the looks of the PSA Dagger. My primary carry is a Gen4 G19 and I'm curious how it my stack. up. The grip looks quite a bit like that of the Stoeger STR9 Compact (of which I own 2). If it's anything like the STR9c, it's going to be one heck of an ergonomic pistol for most.

Just picked mine up today. I got the Sniper Green Cerakote version with night sights. So far I like the grip. The trigger doesn't feel bad to me. I'll know more after I get to shoot it.

I skipped the Dagger after the backed up wait /prolonged delay and so on and plus the pins walking out and malfunctions. I got a Canik TP9SF and I am very happy. The trigger is amazing and so is the reliability.

I tried the dagger in a Concealment Express Kydex holster that I have for my M&P 2.0 Compact it fit like a glove other than the holster being just a little bit (somewhere between 1/8" & 1/4") long for it.

I've had a PSA Dagger for about 1 month+ now. I've owned many Glocks for years and sold the last one when I finished shooting the Dagger.
The Dagger shot very good for the 400+ rounds I've put through it. Not one issue. The only minor issue is that I have Glock 19 mags and the mag release is tuff to release Glock mags, the mags drop free but I have to release my grip and rotate it a bit to get leverage, it's hard to press The supplied PMag does good but the release is still is a little hard to push. I'm going to call PSA about the release, it's not a big problem. The trigger is in the 6 to 61/2 lb. area, I like 41/2 to 5 lb triggers I'll deal with that in the near future. The trigger does not have any grit, reset is very positive and very easy to hear/feel. The fit and finish is very good I was surprised how good it is.

I'm really a Sig Sauer guy for years, I've recently custom built 3 new P320 custom guns so making custom guns is now my cup of tea. The Dagger is good for this also because you can purchase a complete grip of $99, what a deal, then buy any custom Glock 19 slide you wish and build a custom Dagger for maybe less than you'd have in a stock Glock19. The Dagger is the real deal, it's a fantastic price and PSA is now going to release a compact and a full size in the next months. So PSA realizes that the Dagger is a big success and are willing to promote and expand the models. Frankly I can now see where so many people think Glocks were overpriced., when you can see PSA build a 19 clone with upgraded parts NOW for $299 unbelievable but true

The only thing I dislike about the Dagger is the magazine release. I haven't done anything yet but a Glock magazine release can be had for about $3. I saw someone post about an extended one they said would work well with the Dagger in the Dagger F-book group. I need to change that & do some testing with quality JHP ammunition & I believe I may carry it some.

I am either going to get the optic ready model or purchase the frame and build the rest myself. Haven't quite decided the path I go yet.

Just got all my parts today and have to say initial reaction is I like it. I own several Glocks and just recently traded 2 Shadow Systems for a really sweet POF Renegade+ AR so needed an inexpensive 9mm. I’m all Glock for pistols for mag compatibility with PCCs except for my Hellcat. I’m impressed with the quality and feel so far but won’t know for sure until get out and shoot it.
Here’s what I ordered:
Complete RMR cut slide assy with 1/3 Ameriglo night sights $170
Complete lower $100
Aimsurplus dlc barrel $50
Aimsurplus steel guide rod $10
All in all $395 after tax, shipping, FFL I’m pretty happy. Honestly the feel in my hand is similar to the SS MR920. I know not same but at less than 50% the cost it’s a bargain.

Got to shoot mine today. Shot nice after figured out the guide rod wasn’t on straight. Done that before with my Taurus TX22 which of course causes FTE problems. Foolish. Anyways thought I’d hate the trigger based off reviews, hated the M&P original, and dry firing but in all actuality it wasn’t that bad. Was gonna change it out but think I’ll leave as is for now

Thanks for the reply. It's good to hear there is a good fix. I use the Dagger for a night stand gun/range since it's been 100% reliable. That extended Glock release looks to be the resolution. Have you shot the Dagger much. I really like the Dagger and I've owned 8 Glocks going back decades but sold my last one (19) recently. I just heard the PSA will come out with a full size and a sub compact. I'm looking for the sub compact, I'll be first in line

I've only got about 150 rounds through it so far. There is a F-book group for dagger owners. One of PSA's co-founders often replies to posts there. He is quick to tell anyone who has an issue to E-mail him at [email protected]
They had a bad patch of poorly/roughly machined barrels. They sent new barrels out as quickly as they could to replace the problem ones. Seem to be doing a good job of customer service.

Got the permission from the wife (technically forgiveness, because I ordered the Dagger first) to order one with part of the tax return this year. Two-tone Gray, RMR cut, and threaded barrel. Wanted the normal barrel but they are out of stock at the moment.

Out of curiosity, are the Daggers made by PSA? Or do they import them?

Made in house in the USA. Not sure who is making the frames though. I thought I read they were getting them from the same company that makes Polymer 80 frames. I could be wrong on that though.

After hemming and hawing and sitting on the fence, I ordered a PSA Dagger. The "base" model at $300. It shipped quickly, and I picked it up from the FFL less than a week after ordering. My expectations were low, at that price point, but I was pleasantly surprised. Feels good in the hand, and the trigger was far better than I expected, with no grittiness and a great reset.

My only gripe was the mag release, its geometry didn't work well with my left handed technique with which I have no problem with Glocks. Yet, an NDZ replacement made it much better for my needs.
