I apologize if this is in the wrong category. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFOhBAH3zPA I am shocked that this a real PSA! The video depicts a young man taking a gun from his parents room, putting it in his backpack and turning it in to a teacher at school because he is "Afraid to live with a gun in his home". The number of laws broken by the student in the video is a HUGE problem by itself, let alone the boy picking the gun up by the trigger from a sock drawer. I would question the legal culpability of the creators of this video if a child were to do as the video seems to encourage. Minimally, police would be visiting the school and the home. These kinds of shady efforts by the anti-gun crowd just re-enforce my belief that training your kids about guns and gun safety is every bit as important as teaching them about sex/drugs. There is so much misinformation out there about these subjects that NOT making sure they are educated is negligent at best. EDIT: I was gratified to notice that the video (as of this time) has 112 thumbs up and 15,400 thumbs down.
