Have a question folks. Replaced my PT145 Heinie sights for Williams Firesights and I love them, only problem is the front sight set screw has nowhere to set into. Look at the attached pics for details.
I'm thinking about drilling a very shallow hole or divot to where the set screw is now to give the screw a place to set into. Maybe a 32Nd's of inch deep or so. What do you more experienced guys think?

Is the sight tight? Have you shot the gun with the front sight to see if it shoots to point of aim? The sight sits kind of high and if it doesn't move around I would just use some blue locktite on the screw like it is. If the dimple was in the dovetail I could see it but not on the top of the slide. That's just me.

If it is not moving I would just leave it as is. You may want to move it slightly sometime and a divot will cause trouble if you do.
