PT1911 Sights

I have a pt1911 that in order to sight it in the front sight is all the way right and the rear sight is all the way left, the pistol is tight with no play in the frame so I'm wondering if this may be a problem with either the dovetail cuts in the slide or the barrel, any thoughts. By the way I am sighting it in with a laser cartridge that has proved accurate in the past.

Does it shoot dramatically to the side?

How does it shoot without the laser cartridge?

Also, hand it to a buddy and let him run a couple magazines through it and see if it shoots the same for him.

Try shooting it I have never know any pistol to need that kind of sight adjustment
Put every thing back to center and shoot it from a rest. Might find it works perfect. Never tinker with sights till you shoot it and then on a pistol make double sure its the gun and not you let a couple other people shoot it

I've found sometimes the laser bore sighter is dead on and other times it isn't even close..the cartridge variety is even less reliable IMHO. I returned the one catridge laser I bought because it was way off.

If I had a pistol come out of the box with the sights off THAT MUCH, I would have the factory fix it.
