Claw mounts were the factory answer, the one on top has the factory scope, it comes in a nice little hard shell case with a filter ... As long as your receiver is in spec, that's probably your easiest solution.

The bottom one I think I had too much scope and the claw mount would move a bit, I ended up having scope tabs welded on that I can just mount standard rings which works the best, not surprisingly, that's what they did on the PSG-1, but they didn't use picitinny rail like I did.

The only thing with the claw mount is you really need a cheek riser ... even with scope tabs or the low picitinny mounts, depending on your scope bell size you may still need a riser.

Thats great info. I have a mfi mount coming and going to find rings and scope next. I imagine the scope will sit right over the rear sight.

How heavy is your F do you sling it and walk much? I keep having this small thought that maybe I should have got the GI instead because its lighter. No can do on the claw got a mfi on the way. Looking at rings. Who does the trigger job?
None of these guns are light, that is for sure! Mine weighs in at just over 12lbs. I've got a Vortex Diamondback 1.75-5X32 that fits very nicely and leaves plenty of room to work the charging handle. I had Bill Springfield do my trigger work on both my PTR and my Mossberg 930.

Another option for recoil reduction could be a brake. Anyone try a swap out for a 30 cal brake on a ptr?

Hk parts has 2 heavy buffers from diff. manufacture, one is like 57 the other is 64. Is one better than the other? One is parabellum the other is a dmr?

My bad one is at robertrg the other hk parts but I would still like to know which one might be better.
