if i'm pulling down 45acp ammo to reload, do you have to resize (and de-prime) the cases, or just reseat the bullet? I don't see why you would need to resize but i'm not sure.

It depends on how much distortion you get from pulling the bullets, but for proper neck tension, they should be resized. Just remove the decapping pin from your sizing die and run them through again. Then load as usual.

Hope this helps.

I would say it depends on how you pull them and if they were crimped. I have pulled down 200 45acp rounds after having 1 squib when I started reloading . I pulled them with a kenetic puller and did not deprime them or resize them. Pulled , recharged correctly and reseated the bullets. Ended up finding 9 more that had no powder , meaning I missed a whole row on my tray. I no longer watch tv while charging cases.

Yes loosen the collet on top and the pin will drop out. It will take some force. If you have the instructions that come with the dies it tells you how to uninstall and reinstall the pin.Its really easy.

Neck tension can affect the burn characteristics of the powder, and can give you variations in velocity and accuracy. It's likely that you want to load the best ammo that you can, and resizing the case will help enable you to do that.

Going from jacketed to cast of equal or longer bullet length (weight), I might try skipping the resizing and just put a flare on 'em.

I always resize just to make sure neck tension is OK. And as for the primer, that isn't absolutely necessary, but I usually replace it as well.
