Is this for real? Found at http://www.autoweapons.com/products/destructivedevices.html
All pics taken from http://www.autoweapons.com/photosn/bfchinalk.html
Here's the way it's described.
"ULTIMATE M79-TYPE GRENADE LAUNCHER - THIS GRENADE LAUNCHER IS A COPY OF THE 4 SHOT PUMP DESIGNED BY CHINA LAKE NAVAL RESEARCH FACILITY IN CA. ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR THE NAVY SEALS, IT GAVE A GRENADIER MORE THAN ONE SHOT WITHOUT HAVING TO RELOAD HIS WEAPON. UNDER 30 WERE MADE, AND JUST A FEW ARE LEFT IN MUSEUMS.

BRIAN FAUCI OF CANAL SIDE GUNS HAS REPRODUCED THIS FIREARM TO THE EXACTING GOVERNMENT SPECIFICATIONS, BUT WITH 21ST CENTURY TECHNOLOGY AND TECHNIQUE, AND IT IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT PURCHASE, MOTION PICTURE USE, AND THE PARTICULAR COLLECTOR"

A poor quality movie can be found at http://www.autoweapons.com/gunpics/movies/pump4.mpg

I think I'd need a lot of aspirin after shooting that thing, but damn, it'd kick butt in the goose blind. :D

Kharn

The weapon really exists, but IIRC only in prototype form at Crane. It was designed for the SEALs but never produced in any quantity.

This could be an interesting reproduction for serious collectors (the only ones who can afford the tax per round).

Probally the same way that you shoot the M203 with leaf sites, you tuck the buttstock under your shoulder and lower your head until they are aligned with the sites.

But the front sight does seem kind of short...

Kharn,

The recoil is actually mild , the round has a high/low pressure section.
The round is shot by the low pressure section at low velocities. I remember firing the m203, you can see the grenade in flight like a golf ball.

The front sight is normal because its a high trajectory weapon. The rear sight flips up & a ladder type.

It sure is a pretty thing tho

:)

Yes, the weapon is genuine - Chief "Patches" Watson wrote about it in the second volume of his memoirs, "Walking Point". He tested it at China Lake (where they built it according to his suggestions), but AFAIK it was never used in combat.

Explosives are volitile by nature, won't catch me handling any.

Really? Me, I love explosives.

Anyway, all I have to say about this is BAD-@$$!!! SWEET! EXCLAMATION! With 40mm buckshot it'd be super-cool.

Heck, even a "civvie" version that fired 37mm flares and smoke rounds would be fun. :)

This is the sort of thing that makes attempted home burglaries almost funny.

BG breaks into house.

Owner racks slide of above grenade launcher.

BG stops dead in tracks.

BG messes himself.

BG quietly turns around and leaves.

Y'gotta admit, people... it's a pump version of Elmer Fudd's trusty 40mm SxS! :D :p

the 40mm? phew! here's the real big bubba , the 43mm GM-94
of coz, it's Russian
