Have you shot the gun with Magnum loads using the Bantam grips? What's your impression.

Thanks,

Paul
Yes I have. The recoil is not hammering my middle finger as hard. I would like to find a beefier grip than the Bantam grips without going overboard. I had the Bantam grips from a 4" 686 that I sold. I have the same grips on my 3" 686, but the recoil is not near as stout

I split the web of my hand that required stitches with Hogue Bantams on a S&W M340 with Federal Factory 357s -- that was the reason for my question.

We all hold guns differently and our hands are different. As an example, the trigger guard hitting my middle finger was never a problem with the factory grips on the M69 but they were painful in the web of my hand.

I have several Hogue Bantams (J, K, L and maybe N) in the "Grip Box" but after my experience with the M340, I'm procrastinating putting them the M69. I know the M340 is a different level of recoil (for me the most painful) and I've shot close to 10,000 rnds thru a M329 with stout loads.

I would not recommend the Bantam grips as the strap still hits your palm fairly hard.
I wanted to stop the recoil from hitting my middle finger.
